Internet Informational Video

This project allowed us to understand the different protocols and processes required for the internet to function. We first worked on the script and ordered the definitions in a sequence from the abstract protocols such as URL and DNS and narrowed down to bits and binary. We chose to order the video this way because it will hook people and allow them to easily relate, as most people know what URLs are but do not know about bits and binary. https://vimeo.com/371918543

Sending Bits

I made this movie about how remote controls work and transmit information to control other devices. They start by sending binary information of zeros and ones called bits through the medium of infrared light. I took almost a week of class time and one lunch to complete this short movie. I learned some new information that I never knew about remotes, for example, the first remote only had four buttons. The research segment was fast and only took one class. Editing the video took a maybe four classes.
